Who We Are

RootBase is built and maintained by RootBase Labs LLC, a company registered in Arkansas. In this policy, "we," "our," and "us" refer to RootBase Labs LLC.

Data Collection

RootBase does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. All data you enter into the app — including plant names, care logs, photos, notes, and schedules — is stored locally on your device and never leaves it.

We do not use analytics services, advertising frameworks, crash reporting tools, or any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

Data Storage

Your plant data is stored in a local database on your device. This data is not accessible to us or to any third party. We do not operate servers that receive, process, or store your information.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have access to any of your data. There are no advertising partners, analytics providers, or affiliated entities that receive information from RootBase.

In-App Purchases

RootBase may offer optional in-app purchases. These transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data resides on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can delete individual plants and their associated care history within the app. Uninstalling RootBase removes all app data from your device. There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of.

Children's Privacy

RootBase does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the app does not pose privacy concerns for users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. If we ever introduce features that change how data is handled, we will update this policy before those features are released.
